Why Cronulla
The reason is geography. A steady number of patients from Cronulla, Woolooware, Burraneer and Greenhills Beach were travelling out of the area for their dental care, as were residents of Bundeena coming across by ferry. Opening on Cronulla Street moves the practice closer to where a lot of them already were.
How we approach dentistry
Three things shape how appointments run here.
Explanation before treatment. You should understand what is happening in your mouth before anyone starts working on it. We will show you what we have found, describe the options in plain language, and include the option of waiting. What you decide after that is genuinely your call.
Comfort as a clinical priority. Patient comfort is not a nice extra sitting alongside the real dentistry. It is part of it. A patient who is tense is harder to treat and more likely to postpone the next visit. Appointments are scheduled with enough time to work at a pace that suits you.
No judgement about the gap since your last visit. Long absences from the dentist are usually the result of a bad experience, a busy stretch of life, or cost. None of those are worth a lecture. We would rather spend the appointment on what happens next.
Nervous patients
Dental anxiety is one of the most common reasons people avoid care, and it tends to compound. The longer the gap, the more there is to deal with, and the harder the next appointment feels.
We break that cycle by slowing it down. That can mean a first appointment where nothing clinical happens at all, or agreeing on a signal to stop at any point, or working through treatment in shorter sessions. There is a full page on how this works.
